How To Effortlessly Pack for Travelling To Paris

You don’t need a huge suitcase to travel properly to Paris. Yes that’s right. You don’t even need to pack your entire closet or kitchen in order to enjoy Paris. This is a very common misconception for those who haven’t traveled that much to the wonderful and romantic Paris. If you aren’t sure about what to pack and what not to pack, don’t panic. Stay calm. I’ll give you great tips that helped me a lot when I traveled to Paris.

Pack light so it’s easier to get around

Like I mentioned before, you don’t need to pack your entire closet or kitchen to go to Paris. No matter where I travelled to, I always packed an insane amount of stuff. After many trips I realized that half of the things I packed ended up being incredibly useless.

Bring slacks and blazers instead of jeans and sweatshirts. This will make packing a lot lighter. Also, I recommend bringing a scarf to Paris. I definitely regret not buying one when I had the chance.

Wear comfortable shoes

There’s no need to wear any kind of shoe that will only exhaust you so much after exploring the romantic locations of Paris. Wear comfortable and yet stylish shoes so you can get around a lot easier without exhausting yourself.

Take the Metro

After walking so much you will probably want to take a slight break. But what about simply taking the metro to explore Paris? It’s simple and easy and all you need is a carnet. This carnet will let you own 10 tickets that also work for busses.

Stay local

There are gorgeous bed and breakfast areas in Paris. Such areas are perfect for making new friends during your travels. Wanderlustandlipstick.com says: “If you enjoy your own company rather than other people’s company, you can check out comfortable and affordable apartments to rent instead of staying in a hotel. There are also plenty of areas close to the city center that are more affordable”.

Eat at the markets and cafes

There’s absolutely no need to go to fancy restaurants to enjoy the food in Paris. If you’re on a tight budget or don’t like going to fancy restaurants, you can try cafes and markets. A lot of cafes offer enjoying their products outdoors which is a perfect way to relax and enjoy the fresh air.

Carry a book

Instead of distracting yourself with technology, simply put it all away and enjoy a nice book. Also, I noticed that some of popular tourist attractions such as the Eiffel tower tend to get very crowded. How about enjoying your book as you wait?

Be aware of your surroundings

Despite Paris being a very safe place for both man and women, it’s always best to be cautious. Stay in well-lit areas and avoid well-known train stations like Gare du Nord.

Carry a map and look at it beforehand

If it’s your first time visiting Paris you probably don’t know how to get around very well. Either download a map on your phone or buy a map to get yourself around Paris. Also, always check your map before exploring any area in Paris to avoid getting lost.

And last but not least… have fun!

You’re incredibly blessed to have the opportunity to visit the beautiful Paris. Enjoy every second that you’re there. Even if you’ll only stay for one day it doesn’t matter. Make everything all well worth it. I had a blast when I went to Paris for the weekend. No matter how long I stay in Paris there’s always so much more to do! I can’t wait till I visit Paris again.
